How long does a photography shoot take and can it be done while the villa is occupied?

 

We shoot from about 4pm to about 10pm each day.  The entire photo shoot takes 2-3 days due to the extensive hollywood lighting, set up, and staging. Unfortunately, it is not possible to photograph the villa while it is occupied. The villa must be vacant for 72-hours consecutively. 

 

Can the photo shoot be completed in less time than 72 hours?

 

In some cases the home may be photographed in less time but there is no guarantee on the twilight photography, which we strongly recommend and is a high selling point for potential renters.  We can provide you with for a rush photo shoot in which we complete the shoot within 24-hours. A rush fee of $250.00 applies in rush situations. We strongly recommend against rush photography shoots. 

 

Does the villa owner need to be present at the shoot?

 

No, the villa owner does not need to be present, and in most situations the villa owner does not accompany us to the villa shoot. We handle all of the necessary staging and set up. We do recommend requests in writing from the villa owners describing which photographs they wish to have in their villa portfolio if there is something specific in mind. With our 10+ years of experience in vacation villa photography, we know which photographs will market your villa the best, so please rest assured that we will get the right photographs to help yo increase your exposire and occupancy rates.

 

What is the turnaround time on the photography?

 

Upon completion of the photo shoot, we will have your files uploaded to our FTP site where you will be able to download high and low resolution files. The FTP site file upload takes place after post production, which is 4-days. 

 

Our commitment to you is that we will have your villa photos uploaded to our FTP site within 3-days following the completion of your shoot. If you need villa photos in a rush, we do have a 24 hour service rush option. A rush fee of $175.00 applies for this option.  The photos will be ready for you the next day, excluding holidays.

 

What things will you need the villa owner? 

 

The villa should be freshly cleaned, beds should be made according to how the villa owner would like them to be photographed and personal items should be put away, such as family photos, clutter on kitchen counters, end tables, etc. 

 

The pool area should be tidy and left with instructions as to how to turn on pool lights, jacuzzi jets, etc. The pool cover should be removed or a $75.00 fee applies. Boats, cars, kayaks, or any toys should be out of the way. Any additional items, special requests, or suggestions should be sent to us via email 3-days prior to the photo shoot. 

 

Keys, code, garage code, and any other information pertinent to us getting into the villa must be provided. 

 

How do I pay for my photography services and when is the payment due date?

 

50% of the photography services fees are due upon booking your vacation villa for the photo shoot. The remaining 50% of the photography services fees are due upon completion of the photo shoot which 3 days after the photo shoot date. You will be sent a reminder email with a proof sheet as a final invoice.
